PensExpert Shows Strong Growth and Now Manages 11 Billion Swiss Francs

The pension services provider experienced substantial growth in its anniversary year. By the end of 2025, the assets under management are expected to rise significantly once again.

PensExpert continues its growth trajectory even 25 years after its founding. After pension assets under management increased by nearly CHF 1.5 billion in 2024, the company now manages approximately CHF 11 billion in pension assets for around 16,800 insured individuals across its five pension foundations.

«The continuously increasing inflows show that our solutions in the area of occupational and private pensions meet the needs of our clients,» says Rafael Lötscher, CEO of PensExpert.

As a pioneer in the 1e sector – the pension solution for specialists and executives – PensExpert has significantly expanded the scope of design within occupational pensions. Shortly after its founding, the company launched modern vested-benefits solutions, followed later by pillar 3a products. For many years, PensExpert has ranked among the leading independent pension service providers in Switzerland. The company places great value on collaboration with banks, whose investment expertise ideally complements PensExpert’s pension and tax knowledge for the benefit of their clients.

The individual circumstances of each person and the personal support of the insured are PensExpert’s primary focus. The need for advice and education on pension and tax matters remains consistently high. This has once again been confirmed by the latest VorsorgeDIALOG—a study conducted annually by PensExpert together with the University of Lucerne. For this reason, PensExpert provides around 1,000 hours of educational input each year at various training institutes and professional associations.

PensExpert is also politically engaged in promoting a forward-looking pension system. “We see ourselves as a driving force for a modern, flexible pension system that aligns with today’s individual life and career paths. Our goal is to always offer our clients the pension solution that is personally optimal for them. And if it doesn’t exist yet, we help develop it and work to bring it into practice,” says Lötscher. To this end, PensExpert regularly conducts studies with universities or the research institute Sotomo.

PensExpert has around 100 employees at six locations in Switzerland and advises more than 2,000 companies on all matters relating to occupational pensions. PensExpert is also growing in Germany: its subsidiary, with nearly 20 employees, is establishing itself as an innovative partner for employers and employees alike with modern pension concepts such as working-time accounts.
