40 Years of the BVG – Reform Ideas for the Future

The retirement-planning knowledge of today’s young people is better than that of previous generations. This may be due to digital media, growing transparency, and also the fact that many pension funds now aim to make occupational pensions more understandable for younger people. Nevertheless, the image of occupational pension plans remains outdated. This is precisely where pension funds need to take action and raise awareness among young employees that planning for retirement is important even at a young age—and that it is not nearly as complex as it may seem.
